Tom "Bomber" Bladon played 6 seasons (1972-78) on Defense for the Flyers. He received his nickname because of how hard his slap shot was from the point. On December 11, 1977 he set a record for most points by a defenseman in an NHL game with 8 (4 goals and 4 assist). In that game he also set an NHL record for +/- in a game with a +10. Tom was a member of both Stanley Cup Champion teams.
