Julius "Dr. J" Erving
Julius "Dr. J" Erving was a 6'7" Small Forward that played 16 years of professional basketball; 5 years in the ABA and his full 11 year NBA career with the Philadelphia 76ers (1976-1987). Dr. J popularized the modern style of play that emphasizes leaping and playing above the rim and is considered one of the best basketball players of all time. Dr. J is a 2x ABA Champion, 1x NBA Champion (with the 76ers in 1983), 2x ABA Playoff MVP, 3x ABA MVP, 1x NBA MVP, 5x ABA All-Star, 11x NBA All-Star, 5x All-NBA First Team, 2x All-NBA Second Team. His #32 was retired by the Brooklyn Nets in 1987 and his #6 was retired by the 76ers in 1988. In 1993 he was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame.
