Joe was the Flyers first Publicity Director and the Director of Team Services (first in the NHL). His tenure with the Flyers lasted 40 years in which he traveled with the team, handling travel/ticket request and accommodations. He also served as the liaison between the Flyers and Soviet Red Army team in the historic game in 1976 at the Spectrum.
