Brian Wilson

The Beach Boys

Brian Wilson is a singer, songwriter, pianist, bass player and record producer who co-founded The Beach Boys. The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records and were ranked 12 on Rolling Stones “100 Greatest Artist of All Time” Wilson wrote or co-wrote more than two dozen Top 40 hits for the group who played the Spectrum 16 times (12th most of any band). He is often referred to as a genius and is widely acknowledged as one of the most innovative and significant songwriters of the 20th century. Wilson is considered a major innovator in the field of music production, the principal originator of the California Sound, one of the first music producer auteurs, and the first rock producer to use the studio as its own instrument. His honors include being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame and winning multiple Grammy Awards.
